Met Gala: Heavenly Bodies - Fashion and the Catholic Imagination

This year's MET Gala has been quite stunning and i'm so glad of that. The theme was quite easy to follow and many celebs have gone ahead with it and provided amazing looks, while others did so little about it just by having a cross necklace or not sticking to the theme at all. But below are my total favorite looks from the night, because this year the Met Gala hasn't disappointed. I haven't included Katy Perry because that was too much, Cardi B., because she looked exactly like an old Beyonce look and we all know it, or the Jenners who didn't even try. Check all of them after the cut!

Kate Bosworth was absolutely beautiful looking like a virgin in this dreamy Oscar de la Renta gown

This was an easy theme for Madonna as she provided a total look in Jean Paul Gaultier

SZA has to be my favorite look as she looked heavenly and cute in Versace

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley had a pristine look in Ralph Lauren

Lana del Rey's look in motion looks amazing, as she and Jared Leto were wearing Gucci and looked like they came straight out of a painting

Rihanna took the theme really seriously and looked hot in Maison Margiela while Amber Heard was stunning in Carolina Herrera

Nicki Minaj turned heads in this red hot Oscar de la Renta gown while Chadwick Boseman was amazing in Versace

Zendaya's Atelier Versace gown was absolutely marvelous but the hair was a big miss while Cara Delevingne in Dior Haute Couture was one of the best looks of the night

Blake Lively as usual didn't pack light with this Atelier Versace gown that maybe was a bit too much

Evan Rachel Wood looked like gold in Altuzarra while Diane Kruger was exquisite in Prabal Gurung

Pharell Williams was another of the best dressed man of the night, here with Helen Lasichanh in Chanel, while Priyanka Chopra looked fantastic in Ralph Lauren

Sarah Jessica Parker turned heads in Dolce & Gabbana and even though her whole look was stunning i have to admit the dress was not quite spectacular

Bella Hadid looked like a Marvel villain in Chrome Hearts while her sister Gigi was more themed appropriate in Atelier Versace

Ariana Grande wore the Sistine Chapel in this Vera Wang dress while Lily Collins looked fabulous in Givenchy

Letitia Wright looked beautiful and exquisite in Michael Kors whereas Stella Maxwell was stunning in Moschino

We start with the head pieces that make it for the rest of the look as Rita Ora did in Prada and Winnie Harlow in Tommy Hilfiger

Katherine McPhee evoked Madonna's 'Like a Virgin' in this Georges Chakra dress while Anna Wintour opted for a pristine Chanel gown

Lynda Carter looked like a queen in Zac Posen while Taylor Hill also took the theme in her hands in this Diane Von Furstenberg dress

Sasha Lane looked angelic in Tory Burch and Donatella Versace looked great in, obviously, Versace

Mary Kate and Ashley were the hobo queens in vintage Paco Rabanne and Hailey Baldwin looked ethereal in Tommy Hilfiger

Jasmine Sanders was gorgeous in H&M and her hairstyle was to die for but not really theme appropriate

Kim Kardashian at least tried with this Versace gown embellished with some crosses and Emma Stone was divine in this Louis Vuitton dress

More looks that really didn't go with the theme, though they looked great, were Paris Jackson in Stella McCartney and Zoe Kravitz in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello

Sienna Miller looked great in Louis Vuitton while Selena Gomez's Coach dress was beautiful but her hair was a total mess

Rooney Mara was really pretty in Givenchy whereas Michelle Williams was sparkly in Louis Vuitton

Miley didn't even try with this Stella McCartney dress though she looked good just like Scarlett Johansson in Marchesa

And finally Frances McDormand was there for the show with this head turning Valentino look and  Doutzen Kroes put a touch of color in this pretty Sies Marjan dress
