Back in the day when my brother bought U2's album 'Achtung Baby', he played it so much that i scratched the cd in hopes of never listening to it again. Back then i hated U2. And years later i happily inherited that cd as i ended up loving it (luckily, i scratched the wrong side so it stills works).
Anyway, the good news today is that Q is going to release an 'Achtung Baby' covers album and this is the setlist:
Nine Inch Nails - Zoo Station
U2 (Jacques Lu Cont Mix) - Even Better Than The Real Thing
Damien Rice - One
Patti Smith - Until The End Of The World
Garbage - Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
Depeche Mode - So Cruel
Snow Patrol - Mysterious Ways
The Fray - Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World
Gavin Friday - The Fly
The Killers - Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
Glasvegas - Acrobat
Jack White - Love Is Blindness
So it's going to be interesting to listen to NIN's, Depeche Mode's and The Killers' take on those songs but OMG, my fave band performing one of my fave songs from U2, 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses', this song is on my top 5 of U2 ballads ('With or Without You', 'One', 'Stay, Faraway So Close', 'Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own') so i can't wait to listen to Shirley Manson singing those beautiful lyrics <3
"The doors you open I just can't close"
