As public phones have become obsolete (when was the last time you used a public phone?), art collective Kingyobu has been repurposing old phone booths in Osaka and turned them into aquariums filled with goldfish and the result is something beautiful.
In Japan, the goldfish has a symbolic meaning and is believed to bring happiness and prosperity, and it kinda achieves that because how could you not smile if you ran across a phone booth filled with fishies? I really loved this idea and this has also taken place in France as part of the Lyon Light Festival but somehow i liked better the result in Japan. Now please someone make this in my city, por favor.
