'Girls' HBO

How can i explain 'Girls', the best new thing on TV? i actually posted season 1's trailer below so you can get a more accurate idea but let me tell you that, even though the first 2 or 3 eps are not that impressive, the show gets better and better and it doesn't disappoint. It's funny but it's real, it's about four girls living in Brooklyn but this is not 'Sex and the City' or anything like that, even though those two shows share the same plots (relationships, friendship, love, men). It is also sad, because just like in life, not everything is about having fun and partying, it's more about the struggle to make in onto adulthood, to find your place in the world, to establish oneself and get to know yourself in the process of that.

The season finale was flawless, it was so real and you could relate so much to it that it actually hurt and season 2 is already filming so high fives to that. I seriously couldn't recommend this show more, so please do it, you won't regret.

MDNA Barcelona

I wasn't really excited to see Madonna live this week as i didn't like her new album that much and despite having the best time when i saw her with the 'Sticky & Sweet' tour, i wasn't looking for it as before but... it was AMAZING! Just like the other time, Madonna gives everything she has to offer on stage to the max, she makes absolutely everybody dance and jump, she lives for the audience and maybe that's something you don't usually hear about her, but i've seen her two times live now and she's been the same at both.

She also looked flawless, danced her heels off, rocked with the guitar and basically, she offered a show like it was her last one, and i can only take my hat off to her. As for the performances, i danced like mad with 'I'm Addicted' (what a massive grower), 'Vogue' (always), 'Hung Up' (0bvs) and 'Girl Gone Wild' (0fc), sang like crazy with 'Papa Don't Preach' (i wasn't expecting that song - i never check out the set list before a concert), teared a bit with 'Like A Prayer' and the choir singing (it was magical), was amazed with the flawless 'Human Nature' performance with the mirrors like in the music video, just like with all those dancers playing the tambourine and hanging from above in 'Give Me All Your Luvin' and what can i say about 'Express Yourlsef' meets 'Born This Way'? she simply makes it so obvious that Gaga ripped that song it's not even funny, it's nearly ridiculous, Madonna even sang the line from her song 'She's Not Me' at the end which was superb and A+, you can see that on the vid below and you can also check out the crappy quality pics i took with my Blackberry cellphone but well, i didn't really care about that at the moment, so :)

Me wants!

Having a Tumblr is not only a wonderful way to waste time but also a great source to discover new things like these two cameras, the Knäpa Ikea camera and the Instagram Socialmatic camera, two to die for cameras that i need in my life:

Knäpa is going to be the world's cheapest digital camera, it's made out of a single piece of folded cardboard, a single circuit board and an integrated USB connector. No word about the camera's launch date or price but i'm definately gonna buy it if it doesn't cost much though it works with batteries which is a total downer.

And here's something i'm really gonna buy no matter what, the Instagram Socialmatic camera, this was at first just a project but now it's going to become a reality and it will come with 16GB mass storage, Wifi and Bluetooth, a 4:3 touchscreen, two lenses, optical zoom, LED flash and all the Instagram filters! Isn't this good news? I adore Instagram and this is about to become the new Polaroid, me wants!

It's season finale time!

It's season finale time and i'm gonna comment the two thousand shows i'm currently watching, i had to catch up on a ton of shows and even though it took me a while it's time to comment them (Spoilers ahead!):

Game of Thrones - even though some things remain the same, Daenerys is still fierce as fuck and my poor Sansa is still pretty much screwed, the finale was superb though i really think the episode before the finale is always better than the final one (i can't get over 'Baelor' from season 1 and how amazing was when all the warriors started saying "Halfmen" out loud in 'Blackwater'). But still, this show is literally the best thing on tv, it gets better and better and better and it sucks big time that we have to wait a year to watch more. Special mention to the Drogo scene, he still melts my heart when he says "Moon of my life".

Grey's Anatomy - This show used to have the best seasons finales ever by far (season 2's and 5's finales were mind blowing) but the last two seasons have been so meh that the finale was meh along (was it an homage to 'Lost' or lack of ideas?). i'm still gonna watch the final season but i hope it ends as it deserves, with a great, amazing finale but i do not appreciate Lexie dying, that was unnecessary and the character deserved a better ending.

90210 - A season finale with a wedding? omg, how original. I really don't know how this show is still on and i really don't know why i am still watching it but well, i liked the return of Teddy as Silver's future baby daddy, so i guess i'm gonna keep on watching, so sad.

2 Broke Girls - This show started sooo good but it hasn't gone better, just the same. Same jokes, basically no plot (cupcakes business as the main plot, really?) and they didn't develop the hipster hottie story, though i was glad they at least put an end to it on the finale.

Hart of Dixie - This show also started really good but it's annoying how Zoe Hart cannot let that man go, he's not even hot to begin with, especially when there's Wade around, but well, still watching the second, and i assume, final season.

New Girl - Ths show didn't really impress me at the beginning but has grown on me, mainly because of the characters and the charming and nerdy Zooey Deschanel. The finale was ok but i definately want to watch more.

Make it or Break it - This wasn't a season finale but a show finale! It was cancelled after only a few episodes of the new season and it was such a shame... luckily, the show had closure and we got to know who was going to the Olimpics but it sucks hard that we won't see that. No matter how obvious the stunt doubles' work was, i enjoyed MIOBI endelessly and i would have loved that it had at least the full season to end.

Thankfully, i'm not out of shows and i still have 'Girls', 'Pretty Little Liars' and 'True Blood' to watch, there's also 'Cougar Town' but it doesn't count, i only watch it when i don't have anything else though it's fun.

For there she was.

I don't think any book ending can compare to Virgina Woolf's 'Mrs. Dalloway', it's simply so beautiful, so unexpected and so perfect as a closure(?) of the story. I had the pleasure to study this work of art in my English Narrative class and never i expected to end up loving this book so much (i red 'Orlando' from the same author years ago but it didn't cause the same effect).

For those who haven't read it, this won't make sense and it won't spoil anything but for those who have... it has all the meaning in the world, such a beautiful conclusion.

Farewell Wisteria Lane

(Spoilers ahead!)

After 8 seasons, 'Desperate Housewives' is over! It's over for good and it couldn't have had a better ending. I wasn't all sad when i watched the finale, not like it happened to me with other shows i loved most like 'Sex & the City' or back then with 'My So-Called Life', mostly because i think the show has ended when it had to. It all began with this:

I didn't think the series had much more to give after solving the Mary Alice secret on season 1, and truth is it went downhill, but that 5 year gap they made after the end of season 4 was the best thing that happened to the show (as well as the casting of Vanessa Williams as Reneé years later), it gave the series a new direction and it was fantastic ever since.

Of course, the show finale had it's moments, Karen McCluskey saving Wisteria Lane! and then leaving it for good while listening to the song "Wonderful! Wonderful!" by Johnny Mathis <3 Or Lynette and Tom finally getting back together! Or that creepy ending, with Susan Delfino leaving while saying goodbye to all the people that died on the neighbourhood (with the obvious exception of Eddie Britt), this was a good old trademark of the show, those creepy moments between life and death that were so good at the beginning of the show. The only bad thing was the return of Katherine because honestly, did anyone care/like her character at all?

But anyway, the show will be missed (even though i could have done with a whole lot of less Susan Meyer) but its humour, the intrigue and, of course, the girls were the best thing.

RIP Gossip Girl

(It contains spoilers, of course)

So, 'Gossip Girl' started being a really great show with lots of drama, backstabbing, rivalry, gossip, fashion... the first season was absolute perfection. Then, it went downhill with so many Chuck and Blair and their back and forth and Dan and Serena and their boring romance.

So, around season 3 (i think) the show took an interesting spin, with Dan's and Blair's friendship, something that i wouldn't think it would turn into something else but that it did and gave the show life after being the same old repetitive thing. But on the finale... after having a Blair Waldorf who was starting to be her own self, discovering that she didn't need an abusive relationship, who had someone who believed in her no matter what... she goes back to Chuck as her old insecure self! Why would the writers continue with an unhealthy relationship? he traded her for an hotel, nearly raped her and many more things that my Dan Humphrey would never do to her... it's like going back to the same old bullshit over and over again.

The final season will only have 11 episodes and by the looks of it, it won't end as it should. There are interesting things though, like Lily getting back with the immortal Bart Bass and turning into Cece Rhodes, the only legacy that matters. Or that Blair and Serena are back to being mortal enemies like in season 1. If Serena doesn't overdose first, thing that i would cherish. And Dan writing a fierce book from the root of his broken heart with the help of the always fantastic Georgina. But seriously, it's me who has a broken heart, when a show you love and still watch despite losing viewers each week does this über bullshit, it simply hurts to a tv show addict like me. If Dan and Blair weren't end game, why did they made them happen? Their scenes were precious, it looked like the show had a point with this couple and made you want to watch the full show over again to see their beginning, they made me want to have a boyfriend like Dan Humphrey, who i never did care about until now! And never ever i thought before that Blair Waldorf was the dumbest bitch. Until now.

I'm still going to watch the 6th season but this show is pretty much ruined. And my fave character as well.
