The girls from 'Mustang' by Petra Colins

'Mustang' was one of the films from last year, and i love posting stuff and photoshoots of the cast and director, so when i found this old but new to me ELLE shoot with the girls i had to post it. And if Petra Collins is the photographer behind it then i'm obligated to do so. Collins' shoot the 'Mustang' ladies for ELLE Magazine's 'The Girlhood Issue' and truth is that it doesn't get more girly than with Petra behind the lens.

The next project that director Deniz Gamze Ergüven has coming next is 'Kings', starring Halle Berry and Daniel Craig about the incidents that happened the days before Rodney King's death in 1992. The recording of King's death after being brutally beaten up by the police made headlines and brought outrage around the world so it hasn't been forgotten, especially after the many incidents that have recently happened that caused the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement.

It's a sure thing that the Turkish director is here to bring social awareness about unfair situations that are still happening nowadays and that show a recess in our culture, like sexim still very much present in Turkey as she showed in her debut film, and racism still news in our society, as she will show in 'Kings', so she's a director to keep an eye out. In the meantime, enjoy this very pretty shoot with the very beautiful cast of 'Mustang'.
