First look and trailer of Sofia Coppola's 'The Beguiled'

Sofia Coppola's much awaited film after the, disappointing to some, 'The Bling Ring', is nearly here and finally we have some stills and production photos to start getting anxious. Not that i didn't like 'The Bling Ring', it was a fun, superficial movie about the celebrity thefts by a group of teenagers that shocked the tabloid world, and i liked how she exposed the celeb hungry world we live in nowadays, but as it happened with 'Somewhere', it had no rhythm and it wasn't easy to relate.

Anyway, the movie is based in Thomas Cullinan's 1966 novel and Clint Eastwood made his own film version in 1976, which i haven't seen, but looking at these new stills and the cast, i'm starting to get thrilled. The movie stars Nicole Kidman as the headmistress of the stately Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies, Kirsten Dunst plays a teacher and Elle Fanning a young student and i couldn't love more this trio of actresses. Not only Sofia is working again with Elle Fanning after 'Somewhere' but she's making her third movie with Kirsten Dunst after her debut with 'The Virgin Suicides' and the royal 'Marie Antoinette'. And i've always adored Nicole Kidman so i can't complain. And Colin Farrell also appears so it looks promising.
And we even have a trailer already! I feel like it reveals too much of the story but it made me want to watch it even more because it looks exciting and thrilling, so unlike any other movie by Coppola (even though i adore her subtle touch in those other films).

The movie is going to premiere on June 23 so it won't take long but you can have a taste and watch the trailer below and check out some brand new stills below and some instagrams from the cast during filming after the cut.
