Everyone remembers 'Call Me Maybe', that was such a huge hit, so catchy and so bubbly that you couldn't help but love it. It was the perfect pop song but apart from that, i didn't hear more from Carly Rae Jepsen's previous album 'Kiss' (just learned that it was not her first album but her second one). But with her new album 'Emotion', things are totally different. Apart from singles 'I Really Like You' and 'Run Away With Me' there's so much more on this album. 'Emotion' is the dream album that any pop star would love to do, catchy, with classic pop songs that recall the 80s but at the same time a breeze of fresh air from a pop star who's not centered on her image or who's famous people she's friends with, she's focused on the music. Carly Rae Jepsen is the discreet pop star that without having a big star status she's making it big by keeping it simple and being just the classic young pop star.
I'm surprised myself of liking her album so much but it's a pop treat to our ears that deserves to be listened and enjoyed by anyone who loves a catchy song, a pretty ballad and cool lyrics. Below are the ones i liked best but you can (finally) listen to the full album here. Taylor Swift WHO?
