Far, far from land by Tim Walker

Tim Walker's portfolios are always far from boring, and this one for the December issue of W Magazine, is far from that. In fact, it pictures a mermaid, in the human form of model Kristen McMenamy, being trapped in the human world, captured in a giant cage for others to see as if it was a freak show, far her from her natural setting.

I love when editorials depict the modernisation of fairy tales, like the This is not the princess i wanted to become i posted some years ago, and how they always turn uglier when given a modern treatment.     M'encanta! Admiro molt el Tim Walker, les seues fotos tant fantàstiques són com cuadres del Waterhouse, m'agrada moltíssim. I les mermaids sempre m'han agradat especialment, crec que és perquè de petita em van comprar una Ariel de joguet, i sempre em passava molt temps amb ella. I aquest editorial em recorda a la mermaid de Daryl Hannah a Splash.
