The MET Gala was last night, biggest fashion event of the year, and the theme was punk and chaos, and while other years everyone simply ignored the theme, this time the ladies really made an effort to go punk, and while some succeeded and others looked boring, here are the best and worst looks of the gala from the people that really matters:
Sarah Jessica stunned in Giles and with a really extravagant head piece (could have done without it) & Cara Delevingne was modern punk perfection in Burberry, my fave two looks from the event.
Sienna Miller looked effortessly punk and chic in Burberry while Madonna took the theme really seriously in Givenchy, and she slayed.
Loved model Anja Rubik's look in Anthony Vaccarello (despite being on the worst dressed list for many) & Kirsten Dunst looked nice but off theme in Louis Vuitton.
Kate Bosworth wore a precious pink Balmain dress & Kerry Washington looked great and different in Vera Wang.
Mary Kate Olsen wore vintage Chanel and she should have lost that big coat because the dress she was wearing underneath was gorgeous while Ashley wore vintage Dior and wowed for all the wrong reasons.
Karolina Kurkova was also on point wearing Mary Kratantzou while Nicole Richie's TopShop dress was cute but that hair was not.
Elle Fanning in Rodarte was not bad but the excessive blue eye shadow ruined her whole look while Dakota, also in Rodarte, had some wings on to ruin her look as well.
Carey Mulligan looked exquisite in Balenciaga though not very punk, just like Rita Ora in Thakoon, nice but off themed.
Anne Hathaway wore Valentino and was a hot mess with her new blonde do while Gwen Stefani was nice in Maison Martin Margiela but failed to impress.
One would think that Lena Dunham would have gone all the way punk but she was boring in Erdem while Allison Williams was a bit too much in Altuzarra.
Rooney Mara wore a beautiful Givenchy Couture white (and not black!) dress and i don't know whether i love or hate Alexa Chung's Erdem dress.
Alicia Keys was fine in Jason Wu while Blake Lively was all glam in Gucci Première, but where was the punk?
Gwyneth Paltrow wore a pink Valentino Couture that didn't belong to this gala and Chanel Iman brought the stripes to the event in a fantastic J.Mendel dress.
Emma Watson was ok in Prabal Gurung and Jessica Alba looked pretty in a nice Tory Burch dress.
Sofia Coppola wore her Marc Jacobs' pajamas to the gala while Michelle Williams looked chic in Saint Laurent.
Marion Cotillard sure didn't get the theme in Christian Dior while Diane Kruger sure did with her Chanel dress and pink hair ends.
Dree Hemingway was on point but a little off in Stella McCartney while Bella Heathcote looked cute but missed the whole point in Chanel.

M'encanta la gala del MET, és el meu esdeveniment preferit de l'any. La SJP estava ESPECTACULAR! Jo volia que es vestís de Vivienne Westwood però aquest vestit li quedava perfecte. I el tocat és una passada, la meva preferida sens dubte. He mirat les fotos molt ràpid així que encara no puc fer una llista de les meves preferides però la Diane em va agradar molt. També la Gisele Bundchen i la Blake (tot i que no anava molt adient). Llàstima que la Scarlett no hi anés.

Una mica estrany el theme d'aquest any... mira que jo sóc molt fan del punk (trobe a faltar alguna emulant l'estil dandy de la gran Patti Smith), però crec que poca gent el va portar bé, no era molt fàcil, o sembla que no ho va ser al menys. A mí la SJP sempre em sembla que va molt bé, però aquesta vegada no m'agrada molt això del cap... i Cara Delevigne de vegades m'agrada molt però altres cap, ella mateixa, crec que amb eixa cara tan dolça un make up tant dur li quedava poc favorit. De les que he vist la que millor crec que va portar el look va ser la Lily Cole de Vivienne Westwood, la Sienna Miller i Emilia Clarke també em va semblar que estava molt guapa, encara que no era massa punk el look, però amb el detall de les arracades crec que estava prou bé. I Marion Cotillard... amb lo que m'agrada eixa dona, però aquí no estava gens bé, quina llàstima. I no va anar la Moss per lo vist... això sí que es una pena també.
