La piel que habito (2011)

Now this is something I didn't expect to like this much. While 'Broken Embraces' was just fine and 'Volver' was horrid (i really hate the Almodóvar-Penélope combo, mainly because he always has his tongue all up her ass), 'The Skin I Live In' is a really great, really well-directed, really intriguing, totally twisted and a really Ikea-esque movie, still it's not better than the flawless 'All About My Mother' (my absolute favourite Almodóvar film) but it's really, really close. And the one that should go to the Oscars.

Also, this is the only trailer that should be shown of the movie, the official trailer reveals a lot of the plot and trust me, you don't want to get spoiled with such a great story like this. It gives a nice taste of what you have coming.

  1. I'm so looking forward to seeing this film! That's great news to hear it's really that good, I had read some not so happy reviews about it. "Todo sobre mi madre" is also my fav Almodovar, but how come you hate "Volver"? It's one of my favs! :) And it was the first time I really liked Penelope Cruz as an actress.
